Press Release - Conway, S.C. - The local Grand Strand SCORE Chapter is offering a QuickSTARTT Workshop Program to any entrepreneur considering starting a new business.
The program will be a series of workshops combined with one-on-one mentoring that is aimed at helping entrepreneurs jumpstart their new businesses. The workshop program will begin with a FREE "Start-up Basics" workshop at HGTC on June 1st from 6-9PM. This first session will help business people reach a "Go or no-go" decision for starting their business.
Follow up actions will include additional, more detailed workshops, combined with one-on-one mentoring by experienced and successful executives. The followup workshops will include details on developing a marketing strategy, building a project plan, funding and financial planning, and putting together a realistic business plan. The additional workshops are planned for presentation at HGTC from June 8th to July 13th. These five additional workshops will be at a charge of $100 to offset SCORE operating costs.
The alliance of HGTC and SCORE has been built to improve the success of business start-ups on the Grand Strand. Over 1000 new businesses are started on the Grand Strand every year. Many of them are ill-prepared and a very high first year failure rate has been observed. This Alliance is aimed at helping business people develop the best information available to make good decisions to improve their chances of success.
SCORE Grand Strand Chapter 381 has been named Chapter of the Year in South Carolina for the last 3 years and was also named 2nd runner up for Chapter of the Year in the US for 2009. More than 12,300 volunteer business counselors in 360 chapters serve their communities through entrepreneur education dedicated to the formation, growth and success of small businesses.
