An Horry County jury found a North Carolina man guilty of shooting one man to death and injuring three other people during the Memorial Day Weekend Bikefest in 2007, according to Assistant Solicitor Larry Filiberto.

Brian Spears, 23, of Lumberton, NC faced one charge of murder and three counts of assault and battery with intent to kill in connection with the May 27, 2007 shooting that killed Aaron Hammonds, 22, also of Lumberton.

Another man and two women who stood near the intersection of 11th Avenue North and Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach were also wounded.

Spears was sentenced to 30 years in prison for murder and 20 years in prison for each count of assault and battery with intent to kill.

The sentences will run concurrently.
