Coastal Uncorked, an eight day food and wine extravaganza, kicks off Sunday. And if you plan to attend any of the events, you should bring your appetite.
The festival will be held May 16th through the 23rd.
Organizers say they want to showcase the area's restaurants through events like a chef's competition, beer and wine tasting and a cake decorating contest. They say the chamber's research showed a food festival would have a lot of potential to attract tourists.
Coastal uncorked is part of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce's plan to rebuild the month of May, which is traditionally known as biker month on the Grand Strand.
