Budget, job cuts to hit CCU campus

Cuts are coming to the campus of Coastal Carolina University.

CCU Vice President for Finance, Will Garland told NewsChannel 15 Saturday that $4 million in budget cuts are looming.

Garland said that effective July 1st, 15 to 18 CCU employees will be impacted by layoffs and salary cuts.

Colleges and Universities throughout the Palmetto State have had to raise tuition and reduce programs due to state funding cuts.
