Florence County deputies announced Monday the arrest of two people during "Operation Strike Force." The operation is meant to crack down on drug traffic on Interstate 95.
On April 27th, the team of officers arrested Herbert Nelson Lamb, 40, of Kissimmee, Florida, and charged him with Manufacture and Distribution of Methamphetamine, Failure to Stop for Blue Light, Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road, Driving without a License and Littering.
They charged Misty Boykin, 43, of Casselberry, Florida, with Manufacture and Distribution of Methamphetamine and Littering.
Police say the car they were in led officers on a chase at speeds up to 100 mph before the vehicle's tires were deflated by spike strips. Police say they found ingredients in the car known in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
According to a press release, units with the Timmonsville-Sardis Fire Department, Florence County Sheriff's Office, Drug Enforcement Administration, and Florence County Emergency Management responded to the scene until it could be determined that no environmental or health risk existed. The manufacture of methamphetamine can produce a deadly and odorless gas.
Bond for Lamb was set at $21,500 and for Boykin bond was set at $16,000. Both are being held at the Florence County Detention Center.
