(AP) -- Rescuers at the South Carolina Aquarium are getting ready to release into the wild seven sea turtles nursed back to health.
Officials said Saturday's release is the most turtles they have put back in the ocean at one time.
Five of the seven turtles were sickened by cold weather this past winter.
The South Carolina Aquarium Sea Turtle Rescue Program takes in up to 20 turtles a year. The program has released 44 sea turtles and currently is rehabilitating 13 turtles.
Rescuers chose Saturday to release the latest batch of turtles because May 1 is the beginning of sea turtle nesting season in South Carolina.
