The damage left behind at one home after Sunday night's tornado

News Release - Hard Rock Cafe at Broadway at the Beach is holding a Battle of the Bands on Sunday, May 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. to benefit the Red Cross Relief efforts for those affected by the Darlington Tornado.
Darlington Raceway has donated a pair of tickets to their upcoming race as one of the door prizes.
Hard Rock Ambassador members will be curbside to collect monetary donations as well.
The Red Cross was on the scene providing for the immediate emergency needs of those affected by the tornado. An emergency shelter was opened and staffed since Sunday evening. Over 700 meals have been provided to victims as well as first line responders and Red Cross volunteers are distributing comfort kits and clean up kits to those in need.
In addition Red Cross volunteers are available to provided crisis counseling and meet with individual families affected to determine specific needs.
Monetary donations to support the Red Cross efforts can be dropped off at any Carolina Bank location, according to Linda Boone-Smith, Pee Dee Chapter executive.
