About a dozen hospitality workers took advantage of a Serv-Safe alcohol program put on by the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association.
They learned about local and national serving laws, how to identify customers who are intoxicated, and ways to deal with them using proper customer service.
Jay Rowe with Springmaid Resort says, "Sometimes people change their behavior when they get away, and it's important to remind them we want them to have a good time, but we must be concerned about safety and must follow the laws."
The servers took a test after the course and earned a Serv-Safe alcohol certification through the National Restaurant Association.
