Police are investigating to find out if a Florence man set fire to his home and then shot himself.
When firefighters got to the home on Beverly Drive Monday morning, flames were coming through the roof. After they put out the fire, they found a body inside.
Florence County Coroner Bubba Matthews says it looks like Richard Humphries, 55, set the home on fire and then shot himself.
We're told a suicide note was found on the property.
An autopsy is being done. We'll let you know when the results are in.
