Officials with the Darlington County Clerk of Court's Office tell NewsChannel 15 James Bryant pleaded guilty to one count of criminal solicitation of a minor and one count of attempted dissemination of obscene material to a person under the age of 18.
In March of 2008, Bryant solicited sex on the internet from an individual he believed to be a thirteen year old girl.
He was actually communicating with an undercover Hartsville Police Officer.
A judge sentenced Bryant to two and a half years of probation.
He must register as a sex offender, undergo sexual offenders counseling, and he isn't allowed to have minor children in his home without other adult supervision.
