CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- A top federal official is coming to South Carolina to talk about improving meals for the state's school children.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture says Food and Nutrition Service Administrator Julie Paradis is visiting with state officials in Charleston on Monday to discuss the Obama Administration's priorities for improving school meals and the health of school children.
Cutting down on childhood obesity is the focus of first lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign. USDA says about one-third of children in America are either overweight or obese.
