A carnival could be coming soon to the Myrtle Beach Mall site.
Horry County council will consider a proposed zoning change that would allow seasonal carnivals at malls in the county.
The proposal came from a request for a carnival at Myrtle Beach Mall that would be there for three months, starting in May.
County planning officials say if properly zoned, a carnival would not adversely affect traffic or safety.
County council will consider the proposal at its April 20 meeting.
