Captain Danny Watson with The Darlington Police Department tells NewsChannel 15 they've charged Clarissa Williams with assault and battery with intent to kill.

Watson says Sunday evening she and a woman got into a fight over a man on Third Street.

Captain Watson says at one point Williams stabbed the victim.

Williams was taken into custody shortly after the stabbing.

The victim remains in the hospital, but is expected to make a full recovery.

Williams is being held in the Darlington County Detention Center where she is waiting for a bond hearing.
