The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that 35-year-old Steven Lee McDowell turned himself in Saturday. Deputies arrested McDowell's 34-year-old sister LaWanda Gonzalez and her husband, 36-year-old Gerald Elliseo Gonzalez, on Friday.
All three are awaiting a bail hearing. There was no information about whether they have attorneys.
They are charged with killing Michael Smith whose body was found in Greenville County. Smith died of a gunshot wound.
