People in Surfside Beach got to hear from the candidates running for town council Thursday night.
The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Hospitality Association hosted the forum.
The eight candidates answered questions about tourism advertising, the expansion of myrtle beach international airport and guidelines on temporary pool enclosures.
Resident Ken Harbin told NewsChannel 15, "Tts kind of, I won't say sad, but its kind of unusual I had to to to the forum to meet some of the candidates. When you look at our slate of candidates, there are three that are very qualified by their experience and I wanted to try and meet the others. I was really looking for somebody to vote for."
The primary election is June 8th.
