The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division arrested a Darlington Police Officer accused of stealing money from a man he arrested.

Farrell A. Bethea, 23, of McColl, is charged with Petit Larceny and Misconduct in Office.

According to SLED arrest warrants, while conducting a DUI arrest on February 14, 2010, Bethea took $460.00 from the wallet of the man he was arresting.

The Darlington Police Department learned about the alleged crime and requested that SLED investigate.
