Members of Crimestoppers in the southeast are working together in Myrtle Beach this week, to make sure their system is working.
The conference gives officers a chance to discuss ethics, networking and what's working and not working about the organization. Florence County Sheriff Kenney Boone says Crimestoppers of the Pee Dee is a success because of those they rely on the most. "We're only as good as the eyes and the ears of the public, and we need their info and their input and this is a way to call and contact law enforcement either to remain anonymous or some are not even in it for the reward money, but they're in it to make a difference."
The conference runs through Thursday.
