The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office has charged a 15-year old with bringing a gun onto the Waccamaw High School campus.
Police will not release the teen's name because he is a juvenile.
The teen is also believed to be involved in some area burglaries, but has not yet been charged in those crimes, according to Lt. Neil Johnson, with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office.
A student told a police investigator that he saw another juvenile in the bathroom with a gun on March 12th and police were notified three days later, Lt. Johnson said.
The teen was charged last week with bringing a weapon on school property and appeared in court yesterday.
The teen was a former student of Waccamaw High School, but was suspended or dropped out of school, Johnson said.
