Georgetown County Sheriff's deputies said they arrested 5 people, including 2 juveniles, after they broke into a home on Congressional Lane in Pawleys Island Monday afternoon.

Spokesman Neil Johnson said 18-year-old Timothe Samuel Greene of Murrells Inlet, 17-year-old Joseph Michael Alba of Pawleys Island, 17-year-old Anthony Jujuan Grant of Pawleys Island, and 2 juveniles were arrested inside the home.

Johnson said deputies responded to the home around 6 p.m. Monday after a report of a suspicious vehicle in the driveway. The call came from a caretaker of the residence who originally arrived to repair a window for a previous burglary.

When the first Georgetown County Sheriff's deputy arrived and began walking around the home, he was told by the caretaker there was not supposed to be anyone on the property or inside the home. The sheriff's deputy noticed the back sliding glass door was open, and said he saw four suspects inside try to run to the front door.

The four stopped for the deputy, who then found a fifth suspect in a bedroom.

Green, Alba, Grant and the 2 juveniles are charged with Burglary 2nd Degree. Johnson said Alba received an additional charge of Simple Possession of Marijuana.

Greene, Alba, and Grant were released from the Georgetown County Detention Center Wednesday on $5000.00 cash/surety bonds. Alba was released on a $5,570.00 cash bond. The two juveniles were released to their parents.
