A judge set bond Wednesday for a Marlboro County man accused of shooting another man then barricading himself in his home.

Charles Johnson surrendered to police just after 6:15 Tuesday night. Officers say he shot Robert "Buddy" Strickland in the leg on Usher Street in McColl about two hours earlier.

Strickland is expected to be ok.

Johnson is charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

A magistrate judge set his bond at $25,000.
