Marlboro County authorities took one man in custody following a standoff.

Dozens of officers were called to a house on Usher Street in the Marlboro County town of McColl.

Investigators say Charles Johnson shot a man in the leg after the two got into an argument around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say Johnson then barricaded himself in the house and surrendered about an hour and a half later.

Johnson is being held at the Marlboro County Detention Center, he hasn't been formally charged yet.

The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office and the Bennettsville Police Department's SWAT team assisted McColl Police in the case.
