More festivals will be coming to the Grand Strand this spring.

Appearing on Carolina This Week with Tim McGinnis this weekend, Amie Lee with the Chamber confirmed the group will sponsor four new events in May.

She wouldn't go into detail about them, but said three of them will be free.

When asked if they are being scheduled to try to lure people to the area after the city's clampdown on the May bike rallies Lee said, "The chamber recognizes there are some vacancies where lodging is concerned and that there is a potential to get some new visitors into the market."

The festivals will be held May 1st, May 15th, May 22nd, and May 29th.
