CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- The three-star Army general in charge of recruiting for the service is in South Carolina to meet with high school and college students interested in health care careers.

Lt. Gen. Benjamin Freakley (FRAYK'-lee) meets on Friday afternoon in Charleston with members of the group called the Health Occupations Students of America during its state conference and was signing a memorandum of understanding with the group.

Officials say Freakley will tell students about the Army's 90 different career paths in health services. He will discuss the Army's options for helping students pay for their education through military service.

Freakley is based at Fort Monroe, Va., and is head of the Army's Accessions Command.
