Two people died in a single car crash just outside of Santee in Orangeburg County Friday.
Highway Patrol says the Toyota veered off the road, then came back across and hit a tree.
The victims' names have not been released, but they were a 61-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman from Santee.
Troopers would not confirm whether the wreck had anything to do with recent recalls by Toyota.
