Federal authorities have indicted Lloyd Elvis Jackson with possessing firearms and ammunition.

Last June, Marlboro County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Jackson at his Clio home for criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.

Deputies searched his home and say they found three shotguns and loads of ammunition.

Jackson is a convicted felon and isn't allowed to carry weapons, that's why he's been charged by federal authorities.

In addition to the guns, police tell us they confiscated a small alligator in the bathroom of Jackson's home.

Officers with the Department Of Natural Resources charged him with possession of an American Alligator.
