Myrtle Beach area business leaders and elected officials will officially welcome Porter Airlines passengers to the Myrtle Beach International Airport Thursday morning.
The direct flight out of Toronto City Centre Airport in Ontario, Canada is the first international service in several years.
Service started Sunday, February 28. The inbound flight to Myrtle Beach Thursday, March 4 marks the first official roundtrip service.
A press conference will be held during the welcome celebration at Myrtle Beach International Airport. Business leaders and dignitaries will then depart for a business and tourism summit in Toronto, Ontario.
The roundtrip international flight will run twice a week through the month of May.
