A Florence ministry donated $3,000 to help keep a youth program open.

Attached is a picture of Queenie's Helping Hand Ministry donating the money to the Weed and Seed program in Florence.

Queen Frierson, the president of the ministry, says her aim is to help children in the program have a better life.

Weed and Seed has been around for 12 years. The after school program provides a safe haven for kids in North Florence.

It is struggling to stay open due to budget problems.
