Wednesday, Marion Mayor Rodney Berry declared March 3rd 2010 Census Day.

Berry worked with the school district and a local bank to reward 3 students for essays they wrote about the Census.

The students shared their essays with the community this morning. All students who attended were given a 2010 Census back pack.

The event was held this morning in front of Marion City Hall. The Census office said it appreciates the town taking such a proactive approach to telling its citizens about the important of the Census.
