Domestic terrorism was the focus of day two of a four-day public safety exercise in Horry County.
Military personnel and law enforcement officers on all levels are participating in the training.
Tuesday they concentrated on how to handle chemical weapons or explosives that could be used in a terrorist attack.
Peter Cestare, a crime scene specialist with Horry County Police, says any area is susceptible to an attack. "When they talk about domestic terrorism, terrorism has the possibility to be present anywhere in the country, so Myrtle Beach is certainly a target area."
Tuesday the training exercise also included training on how to collect evidence and present it in court.
