(AP) -- SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina police have arrested two North Carolina men and seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana and two vehicles in a drug bust.
Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said at a news conference Friday that the arrest came the night before after investigators received a tip.
Deputies charged 24-year-old Edgar Quintanilla-Arteaga and 30-year-old Raudel Cortex Haro with trafficking more than 100 pounds of marijuana. Both men are from Charlotte, N.C.
Investigators say Haro was driving a luxury sedan and was trying to act as interference for a pickup truck with an enclosed trailer.
When the cars were pulled over in a traffic stop after the sedan nearly hit a deputy's cruiser, a police dog alerted officers to drugs in the trailer.
