The investigation into an anonymous letter sent to Surfside Beach town council members didn't last very long.

The letter accuses some police officers of falsifying time sheets and using city vehicles for personal use.

Solicitor Greg Hembree looked at the letter and says it's mostly innuendo and "street talk."

He says the letter didn't reveal any laws being broken and says it's not worth spending more limited resources investigating it.
