The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday, Coastal Carolina University, Horry-Georgetown Technical College and Horry County Schools will host the Grand Strand Legislative Reception for the South Carolina General Assembly tonight at the Clarion House Hotel in Columbia.
The event will take place from 5pm -9pm. NewsChannel 15's Mola Lenghi will travel to Columbia to cover the event.
The chamber says the purpose of the reception is to increase awareness and understanding of the Myrtle Beach area's contributions to the state and its economy and to underscore the importance of supporting the area's critical needs during the 2010 legislative session.
