The building construction class at Socastee High School and its efforts to help the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti, make our Carolina Spotlight.
Students plan to build several shelters and ship them to Haiti over the next few months.
This project allows high school students to not only create something meaningful for the people of Haiti, but learn how to be service-minded.
You can check out an example of the shelter in front of the school.
