A circuit judge will now hear a protest regarding the Timmonsville mayoral and town council election held in November.
In November, Joe Whitaker filed a protest of the election accusing the Timmonsville Election Commission of wrongdoing.
Whitaker was a candidate for a town council seat. He lost that election.
Whitaker's attorney tells us a hearing will be held on the issue at the courtroom in the Florence City-County Complex next week.
