SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say a South Carolina woman shot and killed her boyfriend after he kicked in her door and then came back and threatened to do it again.
Spartanburg police told WYFF-TV that no charges have been filed, but the killing of 45-year-old Barry Demayo Jones is still being investigated.
Authorities say 45-year-old Juanita Neal says she shot Jones around 1:45 a.m. Valentine's Day after warning him she had a gun as he threatened to kick down the door of their home.
Neal told police she locked Jones out after an argument, and he kicked in the door, then left. She says she had put the door back on when Jones came back, threatening her again.
Investigators say Jones had a history of domestic violence against Neal.
