People running in the 13th annual Bi-Lo Myrtle Beach Marathon and Half Marathon may be doing so in the snow.
The start time for tomorrow morning's races have already been pushed back 30 minutes to 7:00am. They were scheduled to start at 6:30am.
Organizers say they're ready to do whatever it takes to make things work.
Meanwhile, those running in the race are preparing themselves for a cold run in the snow. We caught up with many runners at the Runners Expo at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center this afternoon.
Some were not looking forward to snow in the forecast, which is not typical of Myrtle Beach. While others are saying bring it on, and are looking forward to the challenge.
Either way they're all preparing for the worst, which means gloves, hats. long sleeves, and all the cold weather gear.
Vendors at the Expo say they're seeing a lot of runners stocking up on warm clothing for tomorrow. "Right now this weekend, most of the winter Expo, we bring our gloves and hats and long sleeve shirts. But of course when the weather calls for snow we get really busy sales," said Katherine Hite, a clothing vendor.
Organizers are staying flexible on the start time, to make sure the conditions are best for the runners.
If there are any changes to the start time, you'll see it posted right here on CarolinaLive.com.
