A South Carolina football recruit, arrested and charged last Friday with minor in possession of alcohol, will have a disciplinary hearing to determine his future at Darlington High School.
Victor Hampton, 17, played his senior season at Darlington High. Hampton signed with the Gamecocks last Wednesday.
Darlington County Schools spokeswoman Audrey Childers said she could not speak directly about Hampton's hearing, just that it is customary for students to have one after a situation like an arrest.
Childers said typically a student is placed on an out of school suspension until the hearing, but wouldn't say if that was the case with Hampton.
A date for Hampton's disciplinary hearing hasn't been set.
