(AP) -- Police say the band director at a South Carolina high school had sex with a 14-year-old student twice at Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School.
The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reported arrest warrants were issued Thursday for 36-year-old Michael Miller for two counts of lewd act on a minor under 16 and two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Bamberg police say Miller had sex with the girl in August and December in the school's band room.
Police say Miller's wife is an assistant principal at the high school and confronted the girl. Miller's wife was not charged and school officials say she won't be punished.
Miller's attorney says he has resigned from the school, but didn't want to talk more until he spoke further with his client.
