Governor Mark Sanford will be talking tourism on the Grand Strand this week.

Sanford will be meeting with leaders from around the state for the Governor's Conference on Travel and Tourism.

Economists expect South Carolina's $16 billion tourism industry to make a slow and steady recovery this year, likely mirroring national trends.

At this weeks conference, the State Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department plans to unveil its new ad campaign and a reworked web site to better highlight all the Palmetto State's offerings.
