Census road tour heads through SC Lowcountry

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- The 2010 census is continuing its road tour through South Carolina.

The Census "Portrait of America" vehicle makes stops in Orangeburg, Denmark, Bamberg and Barnwell on Thursday.

The vehicle provides census informational exhibits and census giveaways. In some locations, the tour offers job testing.

On Friday, it stops in Allendale, Estill and Hampton before heading to Beaufort and Walterboro on Saturday.

The vehicle is in Charleston, Summerville and Goose Creek on Sunday.
