The North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce is now offering the Green PlusTM program, which helps local businesses be more competitive through sustainable practices.
The chamber announced at a news conference this afternoon that it was the first in South Carolina to offer the program.
Business owner and chamber chairman Mike Robertson says the initiative is a win for everybody. "I think that i'm going to run a better business and environmentally friendly, the human resource aspect of it with the employees and for the community, recycling and conservation," said Robertson.
The Green PlusTM program is possible through the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.
The group hopes to introduce the program to other chambers in the state.
