Extreme Food Drive exceeds goal

At a news conference Wednesday, the United Way, Horry County and Sterling Homes announced can food donations for the Extreme Food Drive reached 100.1 tons.

The goal was to collect 100 tons of food.

In the past several days people have dropped off food at Walmart stores and businesses all over the Grand Strand.

The donations will go to food pantries across the county set up to help those in need.
