Saturday night, hundreds of people gathered in Marion to honor a long time city council member.
There wasn't an empty seat at the fellowship hall of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
They all came out to pay tribute to Bobby Davis. He has been on the Marion City Council for 22 years.
Dozens of people talked about Davis' commitment and dedication to the people of Marion.
Earlier in the week, his fellow council members passed a resolution honoring Davis as an outstanding public servant and advocate for the city.
NewsChannel 15's very own Tonya Brown served as mistress of ceremonies for Saturday night's event.
