A North Myrtle Beach church with a Haiti mission team flipped pancakes Saturday to raise money for the relief effort in Haiti after this week's devastating earthquake.
Folks at Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church held a pancake breakfast to raise funds for efforts in Haiti, though, the fundraiser was scheduled before the earthquake.
For the past ten years, a group from the church has helped with the TLC Barefoot School in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
The school helps needy children with food, clothing and Christian outreach.
Like many structures there, however, the school isn't being used right now as a school.
"They are not having school since the earthquake yet. They will start it up. But they are feeding people in the neighborhood. All they have to feed them is rice and water," said Mary Lang of Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church.
The school did not crumble in the earthquake but a teacher and several students are unaccounted for.
