CHARLESTON, S.C (AP) -- Carroll Campbell III has picked up the endorsements of three former South Carolina GOP chairmen in his bid to win the Republican nomination in the state's 1st Congressional District.
Campbell's campaign announced today that former state chairmen Greg Shorey, Van Hipp and George Graham are supporting Campbell, the son of the late former Gov. Carroll Campbell.
Incumbent Henry Brown, who has served the coastal district for a decade, announced last week he would not seek re-election.
