Something new and environmentally friendly is on display at the 26th Annual Budweiser Grand Strand Boat Show.
You can see the newest boats and boating accessories for 2010 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, starting Friday.
This year for the first time, an electric boat is on display made by Duffy Boats. The boat can hold up to 11 people and is made for year-round use.
Since the motor is all electric, you don't have to buy gas for it, says Doyce Heinzman of Coastline RV. "Recharging the boat takes less than 12 hours and it costs less than a dollar for refueling. You never have to worry about the smell, the odor or even the damage to the shorelines because this boat produces no wake."
There will also be booths set up where you can learn fishing techniques and safety tips.
The boat show is open Friday from 10am to 8pm, Saturday from 9am to 8pm, and Sunday from 11am to 6pm.
