Around 3:20pm Wednesday, officers with the Manning Police Department located a missing 11-year-old from Virginia and her father.
Police in New Kent, VA say 11-year-old Alexis Cartwright, was taken by her father Lemuel Cartwright on January 3rd.
Alexis Cartwright was last seen at the Cumberland Children's Hospital in New Kent County and police feared she was in need of medical attention.
Police in Manning took the two into custody at a CVS parking lot in Manning, and say Alexis is in good condition.
The North Carolina Department of Social Services is currently in the process of making arrangements for Alexis' return.
The New Kent County Sheriff's Office has felony warrants on file for Mr. Lemuel R. Cartwright charging him with Abduction and Child Neglect.
Lemuel Cartwright will be held on a federal warrant and is scheduled to appear in federal court tomorrow.
