A Timmonsville man died after a shooting at a beauty salon on New Year's night, the authorities said Sunday.
Someone shot 40-year-old Raymond Jerome King multiple times after an argument at Robin's Creative Styles on Main Street in Timmonsville, Mike Nunn, the spokesman for the Florence County Sheriff's Office, said.
Nunn reported King was taken to a Florence hospital with what at first appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, but he died early Saturday morning.
King's body has been sent for an autopsy at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, Nunn said.
Nunn said detectives have a couple persons of interest, but he said the department could not comment further.
Nunn said at this time, it does not appear the killing was part of an armed robbery or any other crime, but he could not speculate on whether King knew his killer or killers.
