State police have wrapped up their investigation of a Darlington Police officer accused of abusing a veteran.

City Council woman Gloria Hines called for the investigation. She says last month she saw the officer hit the man's head against the car.

According to an incident report, the man resisted arrest when an officer tried to arrest him for disorderly conduct.

We're told the findings from the investigation are now in the hands of the solicitor who will decide if any charges should be filed against the officer.
