A burglar broke through the glass door of a Conway bank and tried to pry his way through the vault, the authorities said Saturday.
The FBI called the burglar's attempts "unsuccessful" and said the man did not get into the vault and did not steal any money. No one has been arrested.
Authorities said the break-in happened at the First Federal Financial Center on Main Street around 4:00 a.m. Saturday.
The burglar shattered a glass door in the rear of the building which is now covered with plywood and under police surveillance.
A source close to the investigation said surveillance video of the burglar is too dark to be of any help in identifying a possible suspect.
The FBI and Conway Police Department are investigating the attempted burglary and urge anyone with information to call them.
